BloodyJarTooltip

Bloodforged is a special prefix on gear that gives it PvP power and makes it tradeable, meaning any Bloodforged gear obtained can be traded for or bought on the Auction House. Bloodforged can be applied on a piece of gear for free at any time using the item Bloody Jar, which can be obtained from Nozdormu. Once a item is turned into a Bloodforged item, it cannot be undone, therefore, one should be careful about which items they use it on.

Once an item has been Bloodforged, it will no longer provide PvE power, and instead provide PvP power, increasing damage done against players and healing in PvP instances if your primary stat is Spirit. Raid quality items may be converted into Bloodforged gear, although Heroic and higher raid gear will become normal Bloodforged gear rather than Heroic Bloodforged gear.

Heroic Bloodforged[]

Heroic Bloodforged gear is an upgraded version of Bloodforged gear that provides additional stats. In all other respects, Heroic Bloodforged gear functions the same as Bloodforged gear.

You can obtain Heroic Bloodforged gear by slaying monsters in the "Heroic Bloodforged Gear" Active Event in High Risk or by purchasing it off of the auction house.

HeroicBloodforgedEvent

An active event in Silithus where Heroic Bloodforged gear can be obtained. Note that your ilvl must meet the requirement for the gear to drop.

Within Raids[]

Bloodstained

Within Heroic and Above Raid content, a player with Bloodforged gear will be inflicted with the Bloodforged debuff, reducing their damage and healing done by 20% and increasing their damage taken by 20%. This makes it much harder for a Bloodforged player to handle Heroic content, meaning they cannot skip a raiding tier with Bloodforged gear.

Sanguine Gear[]

Sanguine Gear is a deprecated feature that was introduced alongside the launch of League 3, allowing for a whole new level of PvP gear. Sanguine gear was unique in that it had to be crafted rather than being an applied quality to an item.
