Mining Trainers[]
You can learn Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Artisan Mining from trainers in every major city. You don't have to visit different trainers.

Alliance: Stormwind City[]
- Leave it to the Dwarves to send a mining specialist from Ironforge to tell us how to mine. How hard is it to take a pick and chip away at some rock? Well, since he's here, he's probably the one you should see anyhow. His name is Gelman and he resides over in the Dwarven District. His house is the first one to the left of the tunnel coming from Cathedral Square. You can find him at the top of the stairs.
Alliance: Ironforge[]
- Well well! You've come to the right place to learn Mining! Geofram Bouldertoe himself resides at Deep Mountain Mining Guild. Ye couldn't ask for a better instructor than him. He is standing by some chairs, at the bottom part of the room.
Alliance: The Exodar[]
- You will find our mining trainers towards the back of the Trader's Tier. You are looking for Muaat; he is standing just opposite the Blacksmith trainer, Miall.

Horde: Orgrimmar[]
- Find Red Canyon Minding northeast of the lake in the Valley of Honor. Speak to Makaru there.
Horde: Undercity[]
- The miner here works in the War Quarter on the inner ring. His name's Brom Killian.
Horde: Thunder Bluff[]
- The Earth Mother holds many secrets and Brek Stonehoof can help you discover some of them. You will find him on the lower rise at Stonehoof Geology.
Horde: Silvermoon City[]
- If digging in the dirt is the sort of pastime you find enjoyable, go share your insanity with Belil in Farstriders' Square. I'm certain he'd be happy to see he's not the only crazy one.

- Dun Morogh Every starter zone is filled with Copper Ore. It doesn't really matter which one you choose. Night Elf players have to wait until they get to Darkshore before they can start leveling mining because Teldrassil doesn't have any Copper Ore.

- The Barrens Visit your trainer and learn Journeyman Mining. (You need to level up Mining to at least 50) Ores in these zones: Tin Ore, Copper Ore, Silver Ore
125 - 175[]

- Thousand Needles Visit your trainer and learn Expert Mining. (You need to level up Mining to at least 125) Ores in these zones: Iron Ore, Tin Ore, Gold Ore
175 - 245[]
- The Hinterlands
- Tanaris Don't forget to visit your Mining trainer and learn Artisan Mining when you reach 225! (You need to level up Mining to at least 200) Ores in these zones: Mithril Ore, Truesilver Ore

- Felwood Ores in these zones: Mithril Ore, Truesilver Ore, Thorium Ore

- Hellfire Peninsula Ores in these zones: Fel Iron

- Terokkar Forest There will be a few Rich Adamantite nodes in Terokkar Forest that you can't mine until you reach 350. But, they can only spawn in the areas accessible by flying mount, so this is not an issue for lower level players. (Skettis and the area above Shattrat City)
350 - 375[]
- Nagrand
- Netherstorm
- Shadowmoon Valley I recommend just sticking to Terokkar Forest and Zangarmarsh. Both Adamantite Ore and Fel Iron ore give skill points all the way up to 375.
