How do I attune for Karazhan?[]
These are the steps for attuning for Karazhan in TBC Classic WoW.
Travel to Deadwind Pass, then to the front of Karazhan's main entrance located in the south region of the zone.
Accept the quests Arcane Disturbances and Restless Activity from Archmage Alturus in front of Karazhan's main entrance. The ghosts in The Master's Cellar will provide the Ghostly Essence. The underground well and underground pond are found in two different sections of the Master's Cellar. Once completed, turn in these quests and accept the quest Contact from Dalaran.
Travel to Alterac Mountains and speak to Archmage Cedric, located on the north side of Dalaran. Accept the quest Khadgar.
Travel to Shattrath City in Outland and speak to Khadgar in the city's center. Accept the quest Entry Into Karazhan.
First Key Fragment (Shadow Labyrinth)[]
Travel to the Shadow Labyrinth dungeon in Terokkar Forest. Before your group is able to enter this dungeon, the Shadow Labyrinth Key will need to be obtained from the Sethekk Halls dungeon. Simply kill the end boss Talon King Ikiss and loot the key from the wooden chest behind him.
Upon clearing the dungeon, open the Arcane Container located on the outer ring of Murmur's boss arena. This will spawn the First Fragment Guardian, which upon being killed will drop the First Key Fragment.
Return to Khadgar in Shattrath City, then accept the quest The Second and Third Fragments.
The Second and Third Fragments (The Steamvault, The Arcatraz)[]
Travel to the The Steamvault dungeon located in Zangarmarsh's Coilfang Reservoir.
Near the first boss, Hydromancer Thespia, there will be a body of water with the Arcane Container submerged at the bottom. Opening this container will spawn the Second Fragment Guardian, who will drop the Second Key Fragment.
Before your group is able to enter The Arcatraz dungeon, the Key to the Arcatraz will need to be obtained from a fairly long questline which is detailed below. In addition, a flying mount is required.
- To start the quest chain to obtain the Key to the Arcatraz, speak to Nether-Stalker Khay'ji in Area 52 to accept the quest Consortium Crystal Collection. The Arklon Crystal Artifact drops from Pentatharon located at the Arklon Ruins.
- Once completed, accept the next quest A Heap of Ethereals. Loot 10 Zaxxis Insignia from the Zaxxis Raiders and Stalkers at The Heap south of Area 52. Once completed, accept the quest Warp-Raider Nesaad and return to the southwest area of The Heap to kill him.
- Upon completing Warp-Raider Nesaad, accept the quest Request for Assistance which will lead to Gahruj who is located in Eco-Dome Midrealm in the center of Netherstorm. They will give you the quest Rightful Repossession, which leads to Manaforge Duro to the east. Box of Surveying Equipment can be found all around Manaforge Duro. Once that is complete, accept An Audience with the Prince and travel to Stormspire in Netherstorm.
- Speak to Image of Nexus-Prince Haramad at Stormspire and accept the quest Triangulation Point One. Use the Triangulation Device near Manaforge Ultris to the east, then return to Stormspire and accept the quest Triangulation Point Two. Similarly, use the Triangulation Device at Manaforge Ara to the west.
- Upon completing Triangulation Point Two, return to Stormspire and accept Full Triangle. Travel north to the Ruins of Farahlon to kill Culuthas and loot the Ata'mal Crystal. Return to Stormspire, then accept the quest Special Delivery to Shattrath City.
- Travel to Shattrath City and speak to A'dal, who will provide the quest How to Break Into the Arcatraz. The Bottom Shard of the Arcatraz Key drops from Pathaleon the Calculator in The Mechanar dungeon, and the Top Shard of the Arcatraz Key drops from Warp Splinter in The Botanica dungeon.
- Once both key shards have been obtained, return to A'dal to receive the Key to the Arcatraz.
- Once the Key to the Arcatraz has been obtained, travel to The Arcatraz dungeon in Netherstorm. The Arcane Container is located in the corner of the room of voidwalkers after the first boss, Zereketh the Unbound. Opening the container will spawn the Third Fragment Guardian, who will drop the Third Key Fragment.
- Return to Khadgar in Shattrath City, then accept the quest The Master's Touch.
The Master's Key (The Black Morass)[]
Before your group is able to enter The Black Morass dungeon, all players in the group must complete the attunement questline detailed below.
- Travel to the Caverns of Time in Tanaris, then accept the quest To The Master's Lair from Steward of Time. Locate Andormu further in the Caverns of Time, then accept the quest The Caverns of Time. Follow the Custodian of Time around until the quest completes, then accept Old Hillsbrad from Andormu, granting access to the Old Hillsbrad Foothills dungeon.
- Enter the Old Hillsbrad Foothills dungeon and speak to Erozion to receive the quest Taretha's Diversion. Use the provided Pack of Incendiary Bombs to set incendiary bombs in the internment lodges. After defeating the first boss, Lieutenant Drake, proceed to the basement of Durnholde Keep and speak to Thrall. Ensure that everyone in the group has turned in this quest before accepting the next quest.
- Accept the quest Escape from Durnholde and escort Thrall through the remainder of the dungeon. The quest completes after defeating Epoch Hunter and witnessing Thrall's Destiny Fulfilled. Turn in this quest to Erozion in the dungeon, who will give you the quest Return to Andormu.
- Exit the Old Hillsbrad Foothills dungeon and return to Andormu in Caverns of Time. The quest The Black Morass will become available and grant access to The Black Morass dungeon.
- Enter The Black Morass in Caverns of Time and speak to Sa'at to complete the quest The Black Morass.
- Defend Medivh and witness the opening of the Dark Portal. Upon completing the dungeon, speak to Medivh in The Black Morass to complete the quest The Master's Touch.
- Accept the quest Return to Khadgar from Medivh, then return to Khadgar in Shattrath City.
- Speak to Khadgar to complete the quest Return to Khadgar. You will be rewarded with The Master's Key, which will grant access to the Karazhan raid.
- Accept the quest The Violet Eye and travel to Karazhan in Deadwind Pass.
You are now attuned to Karazhan!
