What is Mystic Enchanting?

Mystic Enchanting is a game-changing feature that lets you customize your abilities and craft a truly unique classless experience! By applying Mystic Enchants to your gear, you can modify spells, boost stats, and create powerful build synergies. Whether you're aiming for devastating combos or enhanced survivability, Mystic Enchanting opens endless possibilities for your adventure!

Mystic Enchant Collection[]

Players can have up to 17 enchants active at the same time, offering extensive build customization. You can see your collection of enchants and the Mystic Enchanting interface by pressing "n" on your keyboard and navigating the tabs at the bottom.

Navigating the Mystic Enchanting Interface

The Mystic Enchanting system can be accessed through the Character Progression screen (keybind: N). Once inside, navigate to the Mystic Enchanting tab, where you'll find two key sections:

Active Enchants – Your Equipped Modifiers

On the left side of the interface, you’ll see your **active enchants**, which are currently attached to your build and specialization.

Things to Know[]

  • These enchants enhance spells, change abilities, or improve stats.
  • Their position on the interface doesn’t matter, but the number and rarity of enchants are limited based on available rarity tokens.
  • The amount of rarity tokens available and used can be seen in the Character Advancement screen (keybind: N).
  • Some abilities and spells also use rarity tokens, so managing them effectively is crucial for optimal builds.

Enchant Collection – Your Stored Enchants[]

On the right side of the interface is your collection of Mystic Enchants. This includes enchants you've discovered, reforged, or collected from across Azeroth. Enchants can be acquired through scrolls, loot drops, the Auction House, reforging and the open world.

Understanding Mystic Enchant Rarities & Limits

Mystic Enchants come in four different tiers, each color-coded based on their power level and limitations.

Green (Uncommon) – Minor Enhancements[]

  • Basic utility or small stat boosts.
  • Can be stacked multiple times for additional effects.

Blue (Rare) – Stronger Modifications[]

  • Offers notable ability improvements or moderate stat boosts.
  • Requires more rarity tokens to equip.

Purple (Epic) – Major Enhancements[]

  • Drastically alters abilities and playstyles.
  • Usually limited to 1-2 per build due to rarity token constraints.

  • Only one Legendary enchant can be used per specialization**.

Mystic Altar Guide

Reaching level 70 will trigger mail to arrive in-game, containing a little information on mystic enchanting, as well as a Volatile Mystic Enchanting Altar, which allows players to modify their builds with powerful Mystic Enchants.

Getting Your First Mystic Altar[]

Once you hit level 70, you’ll automatically receive a [Volatile Mystic Enchanting Altar](https://db.ascension.gg/?item=1903514). This temporary altar has three uses and will self-delete after the final use, so it’s best to plan your reforging wisely.  If you need a more permanent Mystic Altar, there are several ways to obtain one:

  • Buy from the Auction House – Players often sell permanent Mystic Altars for gold, since when they are purchased from the store using DP, they're tradable until used (learned).
  • Purchase from the Ascension Store – Donation Points (DP) can be used to get a personal-use vanity altar., placeable practically anywhere in the world.
  • Use Fixed-Position Alters – Permanent Mystic Altars are available at various points in the open world.

Where to Find a Mystic Altar[]

If you don’t have a personal Mystic Altar yet, don’t worry! There are several ways to find one easily:

Faction Capital Cities[]

Capital cities don't themselves have altars in them. Instead, players summon their personal altars, typically near the Auction House or main hub areas. These can be used by anyone nearby, so simply keep an eye out for them.

Open-World Mystic Altars []

If you’re playing during off-hours or prefer a more consistent option, there are fixed-position Mystic Altars placed throughout the world, especially helpful if you've accumulated a lot of mystic runes and prefer not to have the alter you're using vanish in front of you.

Mystic Enchanting Currencies

There are many ways to acquire Mystic Runes, Mystic Orbs, and Mystic Extracts, and you’ll naturally collect them as you play. While there are ways to optimize farming, most players will eventually have plenty—except for Mystic Extracts, which are much harder to obtain. You'll be able to see how many Mystic Orbs and Mystic Extracts and the bottom of the Enchant Collection tab, and your Mystic Runes will be displayed in the Enchant Scrolls tab. Alternatively, these can also be viewed in the Character UI (keybind; C) under the currency tab.

  • Saves your favorite enchants for future use!

How to Get Mystic Extracts  []

  • Gives full control** over your enchant choices!

Mystic Enchant Reforging

One of the key ways of obtaining new mystic enchants is through a process called "Reforging". Reforging allows you to use an Untarnished Mystic Scroll at a Mystic Enchanting Alter to potentially learn a new Mystic Enchant. You can also reforge scrolls with enchants already attached, that you might find in the open world, AH, or through player trade.

Reforging

How to Reforge Mystic Enchants[]

Reforging is a process that allows you to randomly change the Mystic Enchant on an item, offering a way to customize your character with different enchantments. If you want to reforge or collect new enchants, you’ll need to use a Mystic Altar.

  • Find a Mystic Altar – This can be your own alter, one summoned by another player, or one of many open world alters spread through Azeroth.
  • Spend Mystic Runes – Reforging costs Mystic Runes, which randomly replace the enchant.
  • Repeat Until Desired Enchant Appears – You can keep reforging until you obtain an enchant you want.
  • Extract & Save – Use Mystic Extracts to permanently add an enchant to your collection for future use

Go to a Mystic Altar.[]

These exist as player owned items, that can be summoned on cooldown and used by anybody in the area. This is a common practice in capital cities, making gaining access to an altar a fairly uncomplicated process. Check near to and around your factions capital city auction house. Alternatively, there exists permanent open world altars, scattered throughout Azeroth. Just being in close enough proximity to the alter will give you the ability to reforge and enchant. Below is an example of what a standard altar looks like.

Select a Scroll[]

  • Navigate to the Enchant Scrolls tab (toward the top middle of the ME user interface (keybind; N)
  • At the Mystic Altar, acquire an Untarnished Mystic Scroll. Alternatively, you can reforge scrolls with existing enchants that may be in your inventory. These will be displayed in the same part of the menu in your Enchants Scrolls tab.
  • Select the desired Scroll from the Enchant Scrolls UI, and on the left you'll see you are able to Reforge it (provided you have the required currencies, detailed further down in this page).

Repeat until you get the enchant you want!

Each time you reforge a scroll, you gain experience towards your Mystic Enchanting level. Upon leveling up, you receive a Mystic Extract. These extracts are used to permanently learn specific enchants, adding them to your collection for future use.

Mystic Extraction – Saving Enchants to your collection

There are so many Mystic Enchants and build variety in the game that there's an entire UI to house them. Your collection will probably start out being a little sparse, but over time, as you experience the game, it'll grow to be

1., Select a scroll with the enchant you want to keep.

Activate-collect

2. Save to Collection (button appears after reforge, and only if you don't already have it in your collection.)

3. You can now apply this enchant later without reforging RNG!

If while reforging you come across an enchant you'd like to collect later but don't have the extracts to do so now, you can stop reforging that scroll and create a new Untarnished Mystic Scroll through the same UI, and reforge that instead. This will allow you to keep the desired scroll, and even store it in the bank, or sell/trade it on AH.

Applying Saved Enchants

Applying mystic enchants to available slots is as intuitive as reforging them, and equally important. You can activate scrolls directly from the "Enchant Scrolls" UI by pressing "activate" adjacent to the desired enchants, or you can navigate to your enchant collection.

From you collection UI, simply select the desired enchant, and choose the slot you'd like to apply it to. Keep in mind, the various rarities of enchant can only occupy certain slots and in certain quantities, as outlined earlier in the guide.

  • Visit a **Mystic Altar** .
  • Select **An enchant slot**.
  • Choose a saved enchant from your collection.
  • Spend **Mystic Orbs**(25) to apply the enchant instantly!
