Mystic Enchants, also abbreviated MEs or REs, on a fundamental level are what allows Heroes to truly live out their classless fantasy, by allowing them to combine classes in fluid and slick ways. Some Enchants change your core spells, others provide a small stat bonus. With over 3000 Mystic Enchants in the game, your possibilities are virtually infinite.
One of Season 8 Chapter 3’s largest changes, was almost a complete overhaul of the Mystic Enchanting system, which has been a staple over the years for Classless gameplay. This update seeks to make applied enchants more permanent, while making them easier to obtain.
Rarities
Mystic Enchants come in 4 different rarities:

A possible Enchant setup built around the Legendary "Disciple of Arugal"
- Legendary enchants in most cases provide the base for your build, you can only have one of these active at a time.
- Epic enchants transform spells, give you major conditional buffs or give you completely new spells, these are used to build upon your Legendary enchant of your choice. You’re limited to 3 Epic enchants at a time, they may not be the same.
- Rare and Uncommon enchants provide smaller benefits, usually being stat bonuses, or in the case of Uncommons, altering one specific spell in a small way (increasing hit chance, damage, etc.). You’re able to use each individual Rare or Uncommon enchant up to 3 times, unless the tooltip states otherwise.
In the past, 2-handed weapon users were stuck with only 16 slots, but Season 8 Chapter 3 seeks to homogenize this, allowing every Hero to use 17!
Obtaining Mystic Enchants / Extracts
Going by obtaining Mystic Enchants has multiple methods, each of them being great in specific scenarios.
Whenever you’re at a Mystic Enchanting Altar, you can buy untarnished mystic scrolls for 10 silver each, you can then use your Mystic Runes (obtained from doing most activities) to reforge it as many times as you want if you have the Runes for it. Once you’ve found an Enchant that you’ve taken a liking to, you can then use one Mystic Extract to delete the enchant, but in return learn it permanently for future use.
The second, most prominent way to obtain Enchants is simply by purchasing them from the Auction House if they’re currently being sold. Beware, most niché Enchants cost a lot more than the rest, because less are in circulation. You can also purchase the enchant scrolls from players directly. Whenever you have an untarnished mystic scroll, you can apply an enchant to it from your collection, so you can start “printing” them in mass quantities if you wish to, as a new player, if you have spare Mystic Orbs, this is a great way to kickstart your economy!
The third way, the latest, being added with Chapter 3, is to go out into the open world, and kill mobs which cast the spell you want to get an Enchant for. Previously, while mystic enchants could be obtained through scrolls in the open world, they were completely random, so it was never used as an actual method to obtain Enchants. For example, if a Kurzen Medicine Man is able to cast Shadowbolt, killing them has a chance to drop Mystic Enchant scrolls related to Shadowbolt.

Worldforged Enchants
You might have noticed that some enchants are classified as Worldforged. This simply means that the specific Enchant you’re looking for is somewhere in the open world and cannot be obtained through reforging. They are also soulbound, so you’re not able to buy them from other players, you’ll have to find them yourself at least once. The large majority of Worldforged Enchants have hints at the bottom of their description to help you locate them. If the hint proves to be insufficient, you can always ask other players where to find said Enchant. Some Worldforged Enchants also have caches in certain spots which have a 100% chance to contain a specific one, but you’re going to need a Worldforged Key to open it. A key is assembled from 5 Fragments, which you’ll find randomly throughout your journey.
Rare Worldforged Enchants are a bit different than other Worldforged ones, as they simply require you to kill many mobs from the same tribe (Giants, Elementals, Demons, etc.) while you have the ability you’re looking for in your spellbook. For example, you must have Ice Lance learned if you want to get Draconic Ice Lance.
Mystic Extracts
This is the currency required to extract Enchants from scrolls. To obtain them, you’re going to have to reforge, to level up your Mystic Enchanting level (taking more reforges per level), as one level equals one Extract. The other way is to buy the Mystic Extracts straight from Nozdormu for 150 runes, or gold, each. This is a very inefficient method to get them, but also incredibly fast. Prestiging also grants you 3 free Extracts.
Mystic Enchant Presets

The largest change with Chapter 3 affects Presets. Before, you had your Enchants applied to your gear, and when you obtained an upgrade, you’d have to go to the Altar to change the Enchant on it either manually applying it, or loading in your Preset, which in most cases would have resulted in your action bar messing up. Now as your Enchants are on you, it doesn’t matter how many times you swap gear, your Enchants will always stay the same as long as you don’t change them.
Each Mystic Enchant Preset grants you a blank slate which you can then fill in once again with 17 Enchants, allowing you to swap whenever you’d like to. If you like leveling, a great way to use Presets is by reserving one for your leveling Enchants, which you can then just simply swap out once you’ve hit max level, this allows you to be more flexible with your choice of gear, or taking an upgrade where as before you had to factor in, that that piece of gear most likely did not have the Enchant you were looking for, even worse, it had an Epic or Legendary Enchant on it, which would have rendered it useless in most cases.
With the update, every Specialization unlocked also grants you one Mystic Enchant Preset!
