What is Transmogrification in Project Ascension?

Transmog is your ticket to looking fabulous while flinging fireballs or swinging axes. It’s the magical wardrobe system that lets you change the appearance of your gear without losing the stats. Want to look like a Scarlet Crusader while tanking Black Temple? Done. Feel like cosplaying a pirate while raining arcane doom? Absolutely. Fashion is endgame, and on Ascension, your drip is only limited by your imagination (and your wardrobe).

Any gear found in the game can be used for transmogrification; and special vanity items are available as both Seasonal Point rewards and on the Donation Shop on the website, as well as through the Ethereal Bazaar in-game.

How to use Transmog in Project Ascension

In past seasons, players would have to obtain runes and visit with Marazz to alter the appearances of their gear slots, but it turns out he accidentally enchanted his forge with Fashion Nova instead of Runed Copper Rod. Now everything he touches turns into glitter, leather pants, or sparkly sunglasses, so unfortunately we had to let him go. Fear not, for we have simplified this process, and brought everything under one UI, called the Wardrobe, accessible anywhere. Press the "n" key on your keyboard, and select the "Wardrobe" tab at the bottom of your character advancement UI.

Box 1

This is where you'll apply any changes you've made via boxes 2 and 3. The changes will also be reflected in the individual gear slots, and hovering over them will give you a way to remove/reset individual slots.

  • Disable Transmog: This will disable transmogrification on other players. Your own transmog will still be visible to you and others.
  • Disable Spell Visuals: This will disable spell visuals from other players. Your own spell visuals will still be visible to you and other players.
  • If "Clear invalid slots" becomes an option in Box 1, it means you're attempting to apply an appearance that you have not yet collected.

Box 2

You'll use these navigation tools to get to appearances or slots that you're interested in. You can browse by slot, as well as filter and order by a bunch of different perimeters. You will also see here you can navigate to the different categories, such as spell visuals, pet Transmog, browse full sets, and save your outfits.

  • Selecting an individual slot (such as helm or shoulders) will cause Box 3 to show only appearances that fit that slot, and you can refine your search further from there with filter options, and order those however you like as well.

Box 3

This section of the UI is the primary display of chosen or available appearances. Hovering over greyed out options will show where you're able to obtain the appearance, and clicking one of them will display that on your character preview beneath Box 1, letting you test how everything looks individually or as a whole.

Where to get Transmog items in Project Ascension

You can get specific Transmoggable items by purchasing them from the Ascension Shop, Auction House or from Tiraxis and the Ethereal Bazaar. Additionaly, you can collect the appearance of any gear you've discovered and looted in-game. Simply hover over the item in your bag, and Ctrl + Alt + left click to add the item's appearance to your collection. Note: This will cause the item to become soulbound, meaning it will no longer be tradable to players or able to be sold on the AH.

Tiraxis & the Ethereal Bazaar

Alternatively, you can buy Transmog items from Tiraxis <The Ethereal Bazaar> with Bazaar Tokens; these can be purchased from the Donation Shop or the Auction House in-game. Tiraxis' list of wares changes every day, multiple times, so be sure to keep an eye out if there is a specific look that you have been wanting to purchase!
